FAQs

  • I currently accept Cigna and Aetna insurance plans through Alma, a platform that aids in insurance billing. Starting September 1st, I will also be in-network with United Healthcare plans.

To avoid unexpected costs, I highly encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly to verify your mental health coverage. Every plan is different—your copay, coinsurance, deductible, and out-of-pocket costs are determined by your individual policy.

If you need help understanding your benefits or navigating the insurance process, I’m happy to assist you as best I can.

  • If you’re paying out of pocket for therapy, the self-pay rate is:

    • $180 per session for relationship or couples counseling

    • $125 per session for individual therapy

These rates apply to both the initial intake session and all ongoing 50-minute therapy sessions.

I believe mental health care should be accessible, so I offer a limited number of reduced-fee therapy slots. If you are in need of a lower fee due to financial hardship, please don’t hesitate to reach out, we can discuss available options.

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

    • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

    • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

    • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

    • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate

    • For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059

  • During our initial meeting, we’ll explore what brought you to therapy and work together to determine the most effective treatment approaches for your unique needs.

I take a personalized, client-centered approach that focuses on gaining a deep understanding of your life experiences, worldview, and the underlying motivations behind your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we’ll identify relationship patterns, examine emotional and behavioral symptoms, and begin to connect the dots between past experiences and present challenges.

This foundational session helps us build a strong therapeutic relationship and create a customized path forward.

  • If you're ready to take the next step, simply fill out the contact form and share a little bit about what you're looking for in therapy

Once I receive your inquiry, I’ll reach out via email or phone, whichever you prefer, to walk you through the intake process and answer any questions you may have about starting virtual therapy.

  • Every client’s journey is different, which is why no two therapy sessions look the same. I customize each session to meet your specific needs and goals, drawing from trainings in Somatic Processing, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and the Fundamentals of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). For couples, I offer Level 2 Gottman Method interventions to strengthen connection and communication. I am also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a powerful approach for healing trauma and reducing distress quickly and effectively.

  • Yes, absolutely! I believe therapy works best when you feel a genuine connection with your therapist. Your first impression matters! This is your chance to ask questions, learn more about my approach, and see if we’re a good fit before committing to sessions. I offer free 15-minute phone consultations for new clients.
